Google Drive
An optional step that keeps a Google Doc of each resume, letter and set of answers in a CareerBot folder in your Drive.
This step is optional. Connect Google Drive and CareerBot keeps a Google Doc of each resume in a CareerBot folder in your Drive, updated when you keep a new version, ready to share or print. Tailored resumes, cover letters and answers go there too. CareerBot can only see the files it makes.
What you do
- On Today, open Keep your resumes in Google Drive and choose Connect Google Drive.
- Google asks you to let CareerBot see the files it makes. Leave that box ticked: without it there's nothing to keep, and you'll see "Google Drive isn’t connected: CareerBot needs access to the files it makes."
- You come back to Today: "Google Drive is connected. Your resumes are on their way to your CareerBot folder."
Don't want it? Choose Skip. You can connect any time in Settings, Connections, under Resumes and projects.
It's free: syncing uses no AI and no credits.
If the button says "Not available yet", the copy you're using hasn't set up Google yet. On a copy you run yourself, see Google Drive.
See Google Drive for what's kept, where, and how to move the folder.
