Starting a pursuit
Pick one strong role and start a pursuit, which keeps everything for going after it in one place.
Your first pursuit starts once Setup is done. Choose one strong fit to go after. Starting a pursuit keeps everything for that role in one place: its resume, the people you write to, your letter and answers, and what happened. Then you tailor your resume, choose a path (Outreach, Apply or both) and follow up.
What you do
The step shows Your strongest new roles, the top three. Choose Start beside one. It's free.
Or choose Open Pursuits to look at all your roles. Open one and choose Start (S). Before deciding you can read how it fits each direction, its full description and what it pays. Interested (I) keeps a role on a list for later; Not for me (R) sets it aside.
What a pursuit holds
A pursuit has a status and these tabs: Overview, Role (the role as it showed before you started it), Resume, Letter, Answers, People and Notes.
Its status moves from Preparing to Contacted or Applied (a pursuit can be both), In conversation, Interviewing and Offer, or Closed with a reason (Rejected, Withdrawn, No response, Declined). The Overview suggests the next step for its status and path, for example "Tailor your resume" while it's Preparing, then "Choose a path", and keeps a dated timeline of what happened.
Once you've started one, the rest of Getting started names that company and follows that pursuit.
